Fun Things To Do In Provo, Sundance and Park City, Utah

I had plans to stop in Provo to visit a friend that I have known for quite a few years.

Staci picked me up and we had dinner at her house, and then headed to take a soap making class at the mall.

Soap making was fun at Madam M.’s Apothecary Shop at the Mall. You can check out her website here. We made goat milk soap and bath salts. It was a fun way to spend an hour with a friend. The soaps turned out adorable, and the bath salts, which is a mix of himalayan and sea salt, with fresh dried herbs and flower and a few drops of lavender essential oil.

Another fun thing to do in Provo is stop by the Sub Zero Ice Cream store and watch them freeze your ice cream right in front of you. I had the Magnetic Mint and it was delicious! Check out their website here to find a location near you!

Next take the road out of Provo and head north towards Park City, and drive through the Provo Canyon. There are quite a few parks to stop and have a picnic lunch and take a walk to stretch your legs. You will also want to visit Bridal Veil Falls. The falls is a beautiful place to have a picnic lunch, and then spend some time at the falls. The kids love splashing in the water at the base of the falls for fun.

After you leave Bridal Veil Falls continue heading north on 189, and then take a left on Scenic Route 92, which takes you right to Sundance. Upon entering the resort, find a parking spot and then do some exploring. You can take the gondola to the top of the mountain, and it was running today even though there was no snow in sight. There are accommodations for all sizes of parties, and they even have homes to rent. The skiing is extraordinary and they have added more runs, and another lift for the 2022/2023 ski season.

After you leave Sundance, go left to get back on 189 north and head to Park City. Take a walk down Main Street and enjoy the variety of shops and restaurants up and down the main drag of the town. It is a great place to spend the day, or a week especially when the snow arrives for skiing or snowboarding.

There is so much to do in this area at all times of the year, so definitely visit and enjoy all this area has to offer.
