The island of Bermuda, located 570 miles SE off Cape Hatteras, North Carolina, is one place I totally recommend you visit.
I recommend flying to the island, verses cruising to the island, as the weather on the Atlantic can be challenging and not very pleasant.
The people of Bermuda are extremely nice, and the towns and beaches are spotless.
Hamilton, which is the largest town on the island, is a wonderful place to shop and eat.
A great place to spend a few hours is the Bermuda Aquarium, Museum and Zoo. Located in Flatts Village, it’s fun to wander the outdoor exhibits on a beautiful day!
My favorite beach is located at Horseshoe Bay. Bring your mask, snorkel and fins, as this is a great spot to swim and view the sealife.
Another place to make time to visit is the Royal Naval Dockyard and is worth taking the time to visit as it showcases Bermuda’s history and culture well.
Bermuda is a great place to vacation with or without your family. Being that the island is only a total of 53 square miles, you can reset, relax and enjoy all the attractions in a week without any issues.
NOTE: a fun fact about Bermuda is you will see men and women wearing Bermuda shorts, which is acceptable business attire in the country.
