The Green Monster

A Green Monster Smoothie is a nutrient-packed drink that gets its name from the vibrant green color and the healthy ingredients it contains. Here’s a recipe to make one:

Ingredients:

  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 cup of spinach or kale leaves
  • 1/2 cup of chopped cucumber
  • 1/2 cup of chopped pineapple
  • 1/2 cup of green grapes
  • 1 tablespoon of chia seeds
  • 1 cup of coconut water or almond milk (for a dairy-free option)
  • 1 cup of ice cubes

Instructions:

  1. Peel the ripe banana and break it into chunks.
  2. Wash the spinach or kale leaves thoroughly.
  3. Chop the cucumber, pineapple, and grapes into small pieces.
  4. Place all the ingredients into a blender.
  5. Add the chia seeds, coconut water or almond milk, and ice cubes.
  6. Blend all the ingredients together until smooth and well combined.
  7. If the smoothie is too thick, you can add more liquid (coconut water or almond milk) to reach your desired consistency.
  8. Taste the smoothie and adjust the sweetness or flavor if needed by adding more fruit or a sweetener of your choice.
  9. Pour the Green Monster Smoothie into glasses and serve immediately.

Note: This recipe is highly customizable. You can add other ingredients such as avocado, mint leaves, or a scoop of protein powder to enhance the flavor and nutritional content. Also a scoop or two of Vanilla Plant-Based Protein Powder is a nutritious addition. Feel free to experiment and adapt the recipe to your liking.

Enjoy the nutritious and energizing Green Monster Smoothie!
