Straight Green Smoothie

Here’s a simple recipe for a straight green smoothie, which focuses on incorporating nutritious greens:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of fresh spinach or kale leaves
  • 1 scoop of Vanilla Plant-Based Protein Powder
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 green apple, cored and chopped
  • 1/2 cucumber, chopped
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced
  • 1 cup of coconut water or water
  • Optional: a handful of fresh mint leaves or parsley for added freshness

Instructions:

  1. Wash the spinach or kale leaves thoroughly.
  2. Peel the banana and break it into chunks.
  3. Core and chop the green apple and cucumber.
  4. Squeeze the juice from half a lemon.
  5. Place all the ingredients into a blender.
  6. If using, add the fresh mint leaves or parsley.
  7. Pour in the coconut water or water.
  8. Blend all the ingredients together until smooth and well combined.
  9. Taste the smoothie and adjust the consistency or flavor by adding more water or lemon juice if desired.
  10. Pour the smoothie into glasses and serve immediately.
