Day 3 in Florence was all about embracing Italian food culture! I spent the day attending an authentic cooking class to learn how to make authentic Italian pasta and lasagna from scratch. I booked the class through Get Your Guide, and it was honestly one of the highlights of my trip. The class included wine (of course!), and we were guided step-by-step through the process of creating delicious pasta from scratch and traditional lasagna.
The best part was getting hands-on with the dough—rolling, shaping, and preparing everything Italian style. After we finished making the pasta and assembling the lasagna, our chef took over, baking and boiling the dishes while we sipped on more wine. Once everything was ready, we sat down to enjoy our hard work. The meal was absolutely incredible!
To top it all off, we were treated to a decadent chocolate dessert and a refreshing shot of limoncello.
If you ever find yourself in Florence, I highly recommend trying a cooking class like this one. It’s not only fun and delicious, but it also gives you a chance to connect with fellow travelers and immerse yourself in Italian culinary traditions. We were even gifted with all the recipes before we left! Buon appetito!
