Stop by Many Glacier Hotel, with spectacular scenic views, this 215-room mountain chalet on Swiftcurrent Lake dates from 1915. The hotel features simple rooms that have a rustic vibe. All rooms have private bathrooms. There are no TVs or air-conditioning. Suites with separate sitting areas are also available. The lobby features a 3-story ceiling and central stone fireplace. There’s a lake beach with docks and a pool as well as an upscale restaurant, a lounge and a snack shop. Red Bus tours, boat cruises and horseback rides leave from the hotel, and there are evening ranger programs.
At the hotel, make plans to take the boat ride to view 2 of the lakes by the hotel. There is a short hike after the first lake, to get to the second part of the trip. If you want to extend your day, plan on taking the 2pm boat ride and opt for the guided hike to Grinnell Glacier, which is a challenging hike but so worth it!
Other unforgettable hikes are available that traverse through diverse terrain, offering breathtaking vistas at every turn.
