Another highlight of visiting the Gorge was the Bonneville Dam and Hatchery. There is a security check prior to entering the grounds where the Dam is located, as there are no firearms permitted on property. You can wander the exhibits, and when you head downstairs you can see the fish viewing windows to watch the salmon swim upstream through the locks located to bypass the dam and which help them reach their spawning grounds.
